10 spidey engineers vs one (1) bug, who wins?
lmao
The first time Hobie meets Miles’s parents he tries to put on a facade of respect and responsibility, mostly for Miles’s sake. He tones down the language and try’s to keep the cop bashing to a minimum. His parents come away with the impression that Hobie is a bit rough, but not bad.
The second time they meet, Hobie and Miles in the middle of a protest and the cops show up. Miles and Hobie end up standing on a car and making sure no one gets hurt while Jefferson glares daggers at him. He calls Miles and Miles says he’s in his dorm doing homework, while maintaining eye contact. Hobie then takes the phone and hangs up, still in full view of a now very angry Jefferson.
Miles is grounded for eight months. Hobie responds by repeatedly breaking into his house to hang out with him. At some point Gwen and Pavitr starts breaking in as well and Miles’s room becomes their new hangout. After the eight months they dimension hop frequently, but they hang out in Miles’s the most.
This all culminates in all four of them being arrested at a protest. Miguel has to come bail them out. Miles’s parents give up on stopping him and start giving him protest safety talks and pepper spray.
I LOVE that Hobie’s design is just the walking embodiment of an inconsistent punk zine so so much

I know I’m more of a COD account at this rate but I thought of this and I couldn’t not draw it (also happy pride month my fellow gays)
Imagine Miles gets arrested because of vandalism and taken to his dads station and his dad decides to let him sit in a cell for a while to learn his lesson. Imagine Miles gets bored and instead of just apologizing to his dad he calls Hobie. Imagine Hobie striding into the police station and bailing Miles out with six different foreign currency’s and leaving without even acknowledging anyone besides Miles. The only explanation Miles gives is Hobie is in a band with ‘Gwanda’. His fathers blood pressure has never been higher, and it only goes up when his coworkers mention Hobies shoelaces two hours later, long after Miles is gone
